Don't
fall into the trap of writing songs about writing songs, becoming
famous, or getting revenge on all of the people who have slighted
you in the past. Rarely have songs that have these themes
become huge hits, or even sold at all. The reason lies in
the fact that although these feelings are ubiquitous among
songwriters, they are hardly universal. If you have just finished
a song about one of the aforementioned subjects, don't worry.
We all have written songs like that as we begin ot develop
our craft.
