What A Bridge Does

The Bridge is typically used to add an extra dimension, an addition emotional lift to a song. A Bridge can take a song to the next level, forcing the listener to re-examine the hook or Chorus from a new perspective. And -- the Bridge does all this while still sounding like it belongs where it is. Not all songs have a Bridge, or "C-Section," but those that have them really pack an emotional wallop.
