Stories in Songs.
Songwriters have been building songs around stories since the days of ancient
bards sitting around campfires. It still works. But don't try to jam War and Peace
into a three minute song. Sketch a scenario with telling details, but don't pack
in every twist and turn. Sometimes the parts of the story you leave out are all
the more powerful because they are merely suggested.y}
